RECREATIONAL SPACES

Chelsea has great places in which residents and visitors can walk, run, bike,

play a variety of sports, paint, take pictures, meditate, read a book, and ...

just stop to take in the world around them.

TimberTown

TimberTown is a wonderful park located off of Sibley Road, just north of downtown Chelsea. There is something for everyone in the family to do at TimberTown. TimberTown sits right on the Border-to-Border Trail. As a one of the designated trailheads, it will be named the Joel C. Gentz Memorial Trailhead. It's a great spot to start a bike ride, a run, or a walk. TimberTown also has pickleball courts, volleyball courts, a gaga ball pit, and a nice open field that can be used for frisbee, soccer, baseball, kickball, kite flying, and more. The two pavilions can be reserved via the city website. There is also a community garden for the green thumb in your family and the Pathway to Renewal for the harried members of your group that need a spot to reflect and meditate.  Last, but not least, the newly "reimagined" playground features the original wooden Clocktower Lookout and a plethora of new, safer, and more accessible play equipment.

PIERCE PARK

Pierce Park is a great destination for relaxation right on Main Street. You can walk here from the hospital, the library, or Twisters. It is a great spot to read a book or eat some ice cream in the shade of a large tree or a convenient pavilion (they can be reserved!). If you want to play, you have swings, fun play elements, and a play structure to choose from. Of course, there is also the Rock, which you can paint to celebrate a birthday, a special day on the calendar, or nothing in particular.

Bark Park

A place for Rover to roam and play. A place to visit with out dog owners. Here's the Facebook page, and the link to the Forms needed to access the dog park.  The Chelsea Dog Park is across from North Creek Elementary on McKinley St. and behind the water treatment plant. There's a small parking area, doggie poop bags, and an exercise course.

VETERANS PARK

You'll find the memorial to our Veterans, as well as a picnic area. The park is at the corner of M-52 and Sibley, and is adjacent to Letts Creek and the baseball diamonds.

And coming soon!  Main Street Park!
